Consumer goods issuer, PT Segar Kumala Indonesia Tbk (BUAH), is targeting significant revenue growth this year, aligning with the company's efforts to expand market penetration. Director of Segar Kumala Indonesia, Vianita Januarini, stated that the company aims for revenues of Rp 2 trillion. This represents an increase of approximately 13.8 percent annually or Rp 200 billion from last year's target of Rp 1.8 trillion.
According to internal financial reports, Vianita mentioned that the company had achieved sales targets of Rp 1.8 trillion until December 2023. This realization is seen as the result of the company's efforts to penetrate new markets and implement strategies to understand market needs better. "This achievement also demonstrates our commitment to providing added value to stakeholders and our role in the national economic growth through the fresh fruit sector," she said in her statement on Wednesday (21/2/2024).
To achieve this year's revenue target, Vianita stated that the company has prepared several strategies, such as strengthening relationships with foreign supplier partners. Additionally, the company plans to introduce a wider variety of fruits for consumers in the country.
Apart from setting revenue targets, BUAH has also allocated a shopping budget or capital expenditure (capex) of Rp 16 billion for 2024. This capex is prepared with three main objectives: opening new cold storage facilities, adding refrigerated fleets, and focusing on modernizing office facilities. "To enhance productivity and operational efficiency," Vianita added.
For information, based on the latest financial report data from the company, BUAH recorded a net profit of Rp 26 billion until the third quarter of 2023, growing by 28 percent annually. This growth is in line with the company's revenue of Rp 1.33 trillion as of September 2023, an increase of 42 percent compared to the previous year.
